CHANKANAAB NATIONAL MARINE PARK
Chankanaab Park, which is located at km 9 on the ocean side road in Cozumel’s Island, is the largest monument to nature in Cozumel. In 1980 it was decreed as a National Park and an area for shelter, refuge and protection for flora and marine fauna on the Eastern Coast of Cozumel Island.
To visit Chankanaab means adventure, fun, tranquility and safety in just one place. While visiting Chankanaab one becomes part of a conservation area, which offers a swimming area, or if you wish, you can plunge into the underwater world and enjoy Christ and Virgin sculptures. You can also enjoy a variety of food at any of the restaurants.
Open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Normal fee 16 usd Children (3-11 years) 8 usd.

PUNTA SUR PARK ECOLOGICAL RESERVE
Punta Sur Park is an Ecological Reserve, which encloses a variety of natural wonders. It covers an area of one thousand hectares. It is destined for the conservation and preservation of the 5 ecosystems that conform it. It offers visitors with a variety of ecological tourist attractions. Punta Sur is rich in coastal dunes, mangroves, reefs, lagoon systems and beautiful beaches.
Celarain light house at Punta Sur hosts, in what it used to be the light house keeper’s house, a museum dedicated to navigation; 5 exhibition rooms about information from Maya navigators, buccaneers, marine navigational signs and a setting from the 1930’s on how light house keepers used to live.
Entry fee $10 USD. Free entrance for children under 8 years old. Catamaran rides $3 USD per person. Located at Km 27 on South Coastal Road.

COZUMEL ISLAND MUSEUM
Cozumel’s Island Museum offers a geographic view and history of Cozumel in four exhibition rooms. Conceived as an instrument of ecological information and education, it harvests convincing in children and young people on the preservation of equilibrium and its fragile ecosystems.
“La Casita Maya” (The Small Mayan House) is a representation of the way of life and ancient customs, and it is watch over by people from Mayan origin. You will have an unforgettable experience since we always have temporary and permanent expositions by local and international artists.
Entrance fee $3 USD. Free entrance for children under 8 years old. Hours: From 9 A.M. through 5 P.M. 365 days a year. Coastal main road Rafael E. Melgar Avenue.
